Blog

— From Mid-century Modern to local architectural travel tips and destinations, we love architecture and design. We have worked hard to make our architecture blog interesting to industry professionals but also to folks outside of the design industry. We like to highlight unique designs, interesting materials, and great travel destinations that architecture lovers would, well…love and become obsessed about, like us.

Virtual Tripping | Maine Magazine feature : Spring '20

Virtual Tripping

Tired of staring at your same 4 walls and dreaming of the day you can take a trip somewhere - ANYWHERE!?

Take this as your opportunity to take a virtual trip to a bunch of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation properties presented by #WrightVirtualVisits for a little change of scenery.

Maine Magazine feature

Published! Check out the feature on our houseboat renovation in the May issue of Maine Magazine to find out a little insight into living on, and renovating, a houseboat.

This month’s b-days…

May is a big month for birthdays. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to some of the most influential MCM designers - Gropius, Breuer, and Nelson! Two of which have major connections to New England, do you know who?

What’s new in the Studio?

As we move into the exciting next chapter of BOTTEGA miscellanea’s design endeavors, we are undertaking the stewardship of an amazing mid-century modern property in Connecticut. Designed in 1969 by architect Marian Isenberg of West Hartford, one of only a few practicing woman architects in the area at that time, this home embodies a true mid-century modern spirit.

Stay tuned as we start to document our journey of restoring, rebuilding, and breathing new life into this gem of a home. #giveashitaboutdesign
